The review procedure of the articles for HERBALISM is in line with the recommendations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education described in the booklet "Dobre praktyki w procedurach recenzyjnych w nauce” (“Good Practices in Reviewing Procedures in Science”).
1. The Editorial Board requires that each article should be submitted electronically.
2. By submitting an article, the author(s) submits a statement about writing the article themselves and the obligation that it has not been submitted to another editorial or published in a different way.
3. All submitted texts are pre-qualified for compliance with the magazine's profile. An editorial evaluation is carried out (preliminary evaluation and correction of the text - if required the editor will ask the author to make amendments to the text).
4. Each article is reviewed twice by independent reviewers from outside the scientific unit in which the author (s) of the article is affiliated, and also from outside the Scientific Council. Reviewers are selected by the Editorial Board of those who have a recognized academic record in the subject matter of the article and who guarantee a fair review.
5. The author (s) of the article receives both reviews and is obliged to respond to the comments in them. If the reviewer's comments are accepted, the author (s) makes the necessary corrections and additions to the article.
6.Neither the identity of the author(s) nor the affiliation of the evaluated article (the double-blind review process) are revealed to the reviewers. The reviewer is required to make a declaration of non-conflict of interest, which is considered to be between the reviewer and the author: direct personal relationships (kinship, legal relationships , conflict), professional subordination, direct scientific collaboration in the last two years preceding the preparation of the review.
7. Reviews are made on a form prepared by the Editorial Board
8. If the article reviews are not unanimous, the text is forwarded to the third reviewer whose vote is decisive.
9. The Editorial Board reserves the right to release or refuse the article for publication.
10. A list of reviewers cooperating with the journal is available on the journal's website.
11. The Editors declare that the paper version of HERBALISM is the original version
